VENUE

The STARBURST International Film Festival is one of the biggest and best genre celebrations ever seen in the UK. It is held every year at MANCHESTER METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT UNION COMPLEX, close to Manchester City Centre for the entire bank holiday weekend from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th August 2017.

The whole building is ours, and will be the usual urban getaway for genre fans looking for way more than a set of screenings taking place in a cinema.

The SU Complex is an audio visual palace. Home to an amazing range of unique spaces that allows us to host up to four simultaneous screenings and associated events and the main theatre.

Not only are there lots of screenings and events across three floors, there are also bars, coffee shops, dealer spaces and the site even incorporates the legendary Salutation Public House.

Every need is catered for in a venue that was a perfect fit for an event of this stature. With accommodation literally across the road you can simply relax having the time of your life mixing with fellow enthusiasts, and renowned guests from both in front of and behind the cameras of some of the greatest movies and TV shows ever made – All hosted by the team that brings you STARBURST MAGAZINE.
