Welcome once again to the movie marketplace that is Watto’s Emporium, which rounds up some of the best merch that we found across the online galaxy this week. And naturally we get ready for next week’s awakening in the force, as well as gathering a few items that celebrate a maligned new release and the possible return of a popular film series. So take our hand and join us for another week’s romp through the racks of movie merchandise…

3. The Thing Hoodie (superherostuff.com, $49.99 USD)

Well, the new Fantastic Four film from this summer did not go well to say the least, however if you are yet to see the results of Josh Trank’s reboot, the film hits shelves this Monday. But whether you were one of those that liked it or one of the masses that loathed it, we can all agree that the source material has its colourful joys. Case in point, this awesome hoodie (styled on fantastic four emmber The Thing) from superherostuff.com, which is loyal to stone-skinned character’s comic book design and is the perfect thing to warn any potential pickpockets that if they mess with you…”it’s clobberin’ time”.

2. Hattori Hanzo Samurai Swords T-Shirt (beltsbucklestees.com, £12)

This past week we reported that Director Quentin Tarantino is quite open-minded when it comes to returning to his bloody and sword swinging Kill Bill series. So in celebration of the fact that Uma Thurman’s wronged mother/wife may rise again, here is a geeky shirt that ought to separate the bride from the boys. Available at beltsbucklestees.com, this shirt is simple but brilliant, decorated by the Hattori Hanzo logo, who fans will know is the master sword smith that crafts a new blade for Thurman’s ass kicking warrior in the first film…next stop, an actual samurai sword.

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens BB-8 Interactive Robotic Droid (disneystore.co.uk, £129.95)

Well, you know what is happening in less than one week’s time don’t you? That’s right, we all get to see the results of the film that has arguably more hype than any in recent memory. So if you are a huge Star Wars fan- or know any (hint hint Christmas)- and if you have deep pockets or an embrace of new technologies, you will likely be most drawn to the pricy but cool “must have” Star Wars: The Force Awakens toy this year in the Interactive BB-8 robotic droid by Sphero. The little bot is operated by your tablet or smart phone and is authentic to the metal co-star of the new film. It responds to your voice and has a unique independence to it. Plus you can record and view holographic videos, which almost makes this innovative toy from disneystore.co.uk, as cool as the real BB-8…almost!

Be sure to keep an eye out every week for our pick of the top 3 funnest, funkiest and freakiest finds in our online merchandising explorations!
