Welcome once again to the movie marketplace that is Watto’s Emporium, which rounds up some of the best merch that we found across the online galaxy this week. And as today is his birthday, this week’s emporium has become centred on that old machete carrying, mask wearing lug Jason Voorhees. Across 12 films (with a thirteenth scheduled for release next year) Jason’s cinematic legacy has grown, gaining the Friday the 13th franchise huge popularity since it started in 1980. So take our hand as we stroll through Camp Crystal Lake for some Friday the 13th goodies that we can add to the stacks of gear at the Starburst movie merch warehouse that is Watto’s Emporium…

3. Friday the 13th Japanese Shirt (beltsbucklestees.com, £10)

First up from camp beltsbucklestees.com, is this internationally flavoured shirt that is an example of just how far across the world Jason has reached. He may have only travelled as far as Manhattan in the movies (unless you count him venturing into space…it happened) but this cool shirt takes Jason all the way to the orient. Simple but effective, this shirt is living, breathing, proof that adding Japanese lettering to anything related to film, immediately makes it more badass, especially when that lettering is dripping blood and placed over the scratched mask of a Horror icon.

2. Friday the 13th Hoodie (stylinonline.com, $33.74USD)

Fandom is a wonderful thing, stretching from cosplay to cool gear audiences can embrace franchises and films into their lives now more than ever. However this hoodie from stylinonline.com is a combination of warm clothing and makeshift fancy dress. Inspired by the much-loved Jason Voorhees model used in John Carl Buechler’s Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, this hoodie zips up and allows you to literally (okay not literally, but pretty close) become the undead masked mauler. Faithfully designed- even down to the exposed ribs and partially broken mask- and multi-purpose, this is a piece of gear that every Friday the 13th fan needs in their collection. With this hoodie, you’ll be ki ki ki ma ma ma ing in no time!

1. Friday the 13th Belt Buckle (beltsbucklestees.com, £15)

But for our final piece of gear this week, we go back to the familiar, with another item from beltsbucklestees.com and it is a belt buckle that looks great and will keep those trousers up should you happen to be fleeing through the woods anytime in the near future. This silver buckle shows off the infamous hockey mask features of Jason, with a pirate-like crossed machete design for good measure. Jason may well have had a few upgrades over his 35 years- from bags and hockey masks to nanite equipped implants- of stalking cinemas the world over but even he might be urged to install Wi-Fi in that handmade hut of his and order one of these nifty buckles.
