WATTO'S EMPORIUM Weekly Top 3

PrintE-mail Written by Jack Bottomley

Welcome once again to the movie marketplace that is Watto’s Emporium, which rounds up some of the best merch that we found across the online galaxy. And this week we have mysteries, space age condiment compartments and a sinister way to open a cold one. The lights are on, the gates are open, so follow us as we look at what is arriving in the weird and wonderful warehouse that is Watto’s Emporium…

3. Aliens: Alien Head Metal Bottle Opener (£14.99, forbiddenplanet.co.uk)

As we reported this week, Ridley Scott has his sights set on expanding the Alien universe with his sequels to Prometheus. So to celebrate the acid-blooded big heads that populate that universe (or the Xenomorphs as they are more commonly known), here is an item that combines movie love with usefulness. So sit back and slap on the Alien Quadrilogy and get yourself into the atmosphere by cracking open that cold bottled beverage with this metal Xenomorph head bottle opener from forbiddenplanet.co.uk. “In space no one can hear you scream”…but can they hear you chug?

2. Dr. Who Tardis Salt And Pepper Shakers (£7.99, grindstore.com)

All you followers of the trend setting time lord may be aware that he is back on the box for a brand new series. Now at this point many might say, “So why not celebrate by seeking out this shirt” or perhaps show you a new toy but we here at Starburst are suckers for something a little different. So with that said, how about you fans of the good Doctor complete your Who home ware collection, with these nifty Tardis salt and pepper shakers from grindstore.com. These condiment containers are affordable, brilliantly designed and guaranteed to rub salt in the wounds (sorry) of any fellow jealous whovian who doesn’t own a pair themselves.

1. Mystery Box! (£25, beltsbucklestees.com)

As we have made clear before, the appeal of a mystery is almost impossible to turn down but when said mystery is a clothing box made up of goods worth £50 but available at half that price, this is simply a must-buy gamble. We say gamble but when you choose the theme for your box (Movies & TV, Superheroes, Music & Band, Gaming or Surprise Me) and receive at least 4 items in said box, this isn’t a gamble, this is bleedin’ great. Whether it is a gift for that special geek in your life or just a treat for little old you, this is one mystery worth discovering and thanks to beltsbucklestees.com, that has never been easier. Maybe Peter Griffin was right about the mystery box option after all…
