WATTO'S EMPORIUM Weekly Top 3

PrintE-mail Written by Jack Bottomley

Welcome once again to the movie marketplace that is Watto’s Emporium, which rounds up some of the best merch that we found across the online galaxy. We have fast folk, we have massive monkeys, we have undisclosed creatures and we have big ass lizards! Where else do the titans do battle and the heroes run like hell in perfect harmony? Where else does all of the above look so smart or so brilliant? It can only all be here on the shelves of Watto’s Emporium, the kooky, spooky and grovy marketplace for the best merch in stores and online…

3. Jinxes (Jinx of Nature, Price varies depending on item (ranging from £5)

We start off the Emporium in a rather unique fashion; with these handmade originally designed polymer clay creatures. Designed and made by Jinx of Nature, these cute little creatures that have been made and designed by hand, have been doing the rounds at festivals and Comic Con events across the UK and are wonderfully brought to life and influenced by a wide array of nature, history and Japanese culture in particular. Not available online per say, you can keep up with everything Jinx of Nature does over at the official site (jinxofnature.com) and find out where next ‘the Jinxes’ will land, so you can go and add them to your family of little monsters at home.

2. Flash Belt Buckle (beltsbucklestees.com, £15)

As the first series of CW’s highly successful and very fun and energetic adaptation of DC’s The Flash hits DVD on Monday (see our review here), why not leg it over to beltsbucklestees.com to celebrate. On the site there is a range of gear celebrating the biggest, strongest, smallest and fastest of the world’s heroes. However arguably one of the swishiest (is that even a word?) belt buckles, is this colourful one showing off the iconic flash logo! Visually stunning and perfect for all fans of the scarlet speedster, this buckle is enough to have fans leaping (or in this case running) for joy!!

1. Godzilla vs. King Kong Shirt/Hoodie (redbubble.com, £17.51)

As we reported last week, we may be seeing the first onscreen meeting in nearly 65 years, between the king of the monsters Godzilla and the world’s mightiest ape King Kong sooner rather than later. So to celebrate the start of the build up to this rematch of the monsters, we scoured the net for a piece of merchandise. In fairness most showed the titanic twosome clobbering each other senseless but this wonderfully cute shirt from redbubble.com shows off the nicer side of the hairy and scaly behemoths. Designed by gregtoth85, these shirts come in a range of colours and are available in hoodie form too. Never has a war between two beasts been so sweet!
