WATTO'S EMPORIUM Weekly Top 3

PrintE-mail Written by Jack Bottomley

Welcome once again to the movie marketplace that is Watto’s Emporium, which rounds up some of the best merch that we found across the online galaxy. This week’s Top 3 line-up sees annihilation, assassins and assistants run amok, as Starburst delves into some of the week’s greatest merchandising finds…

3. Terminator Genisys Action Figure Guardian T-800 (Pre-Order) (forbiddenplanet.com £21.50)

For those of you who like you figures looking badass and ready for action, and with lashings of dystopia, then this new Terminator Genisys Guardian T-800 Action Figure from forbiddenplanet.com should do the trick. A lot of strong opinions are already flying about the fifth instalment in the classic Sci-Fi series (read our review here) but on some level it is nice to see Arnie back in the fold. As it is to see him so neatly designed in this figure, which boasts a lot of articulation and accessories, Pre-Order now (the release date is later than initially expected) to avoid persecution by Skynet when the inevitable takeover occurs.

2. Minions Cufflinks (truffleshuffle.co.uk, £7.99)

“What killed the dinosaurs”, no not the ice age…all you Batman & Robin piss takers, no it was the Minions! That’s right, after dominating the world, all it took was an army of yellow, cycloptic, dungaree wearing henchman to knock Jurassic World off the top of the UK Box Office. We enjoyed Minions (read our review here) and the merchandising madness surrounding them continues and one of the snazziest is this set of cufflinks, available from truffleshuffle.co.uk, which allows people of all ages to carry a little bit of minion with them, wherever they may go…”banana”!

1. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate T-Shirts (alltheheroes.co.uk, £15 each) (Pre-Order) (Released W/C 20th July)

The Assassin’s Creed video game series is one that seems to have thrived over the years, as it’s hooded characters have stabbed, stalked and crawled their way through some of history’s most prominent eras. Well ahead of the ninth title in the series, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (released this October), the TV/Film/Game loving scamps at alltheheroes.co.uk have given you chance to get the gear and support (what now remains of) the Brotherhood with this collection of t-shirts. In the range is the Assassin’s Creed logo on black or white, Syndicate Warrior art, a damn stylish Syndicate Jacob design or our favourite, the Syndicate Flag design which sets the latter industrial revolution era beautifully. Buy or die…or, you know, just miss out.

Be sure to keep an eye out every week for our pick of the top 3 funniest, funkiest and freakiest finds in our online merchandising explorations!
