Not ones for letting the grass grow under their feet, the good folk at Grimm Up North are following their successful Grimmfest with a series of screenings in Manchester, as part of the BFI Gothic season.

As well as some fantastic classic films, some of the events take place in suitably creepy surroundings.

So, steel yourself for a season of zombies, vampires, ghosts and monsters:
