EVANGELION Animator Heading to MCM London Comic Con

Takeshi Honda, the fantastic animation director of Rebuild of Evangelion, will be appearing at MCM London Comic Con later this month.

Honda joins the already announced Naoyoshi Shiotani (Psycho-Pass) as part of the event’s Anime Guests of Honour at the show, which takes place at London’s ExCel on October 28th-30th.

Honda worded on the original Neon Genesis Evangelion before returning to the franchise when creator rebooted it at Rebuild of Evangelion. He also worked on Studio Khara’s Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone as mechanical animation director, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance as animation director, and the latest entry Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo as chief animation director.

Honda has also moved into being a director, having helmed a short with Mahiro Maeda entitled 20min Walk From Nishi-Ogikubo Station, 2 Bedrooms, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2mos Deposit, No Pets Allowed, which was part of the Japan Animator Expo movie omnibus.
