Horror Channel, the UK’s popular genre TV station has announced a three-year partnership deal with FrightFest.

The channel, owned by CBS International and AMC Networks International, has been wowing audiences for years with its cutting edge programming of new and classic horror films - as well as much-loved series from yesteryear such as Tales from the Darkside, Hammer House of Horror, and The Incredible Hulk. They have been associated with the highly successful FrightFest brand as banner sponsors, and the headline sponsor role is a perfect fit.

Horror Channel FrightFest’s next event is held at London’s Vue Shepherd’s Bush Empire over five days August 25th-29th, where they take over all twelve screens of the cinema.

FrightFest’s Alan Jones said of the deal: “FrightFest is thrilled to welcome Horror Channel on board as their new headline sponsor. Horror Channel has been a vital part of the FrightFest machinery for many years, so our on-going relationship is already built on solid foundations. Together we recognised the further potential in each other to celebrate the horror fantasy genre on an even wider canvas than before, something followers of both of our brands can appreciate.”

Chris Sharp, AMC Networks International’s Chief Programming Officer added: “Horror is coming home. We were FrightFest’s banner sponsor in 2005 and 2006 and have maintained a very close partnership with the organisers and fans ever since. We’re thrilled to further cement that ‘bloody bond’ and look forward to celebrating the festival with a frighteningly good season of FrightFest favourites on the channel in August.

As well as the annual August event, Horror Channel FrightFest hold a special all-night Halloween special, and screenings in Glasgow as part of the town’s own film festival.
