Event News

Time is running out if you wish to book online for the UK Games Expo.

Britain’s largest and most interesting table-top gaming convention will close its online booking on Thursday, May 26th. After that point you can only get tickets on the door.

The Trade Halls at UK Games Expo will be stacked full of gaming goodies, with the great and good from the UK gaming industry coming to sell their wares. This is the place to get the hot new game of 2016 before it hits the shelves of your local games shop. Games such as Pandemic – Reign of Cthulhu, which will be available in limited numbers.

Other highlights include a specially commissioned souvenir miniature, available only at the event. Created by Otherworld Miniatures, this superbly detailed 28mm mini shows an orc off to the expo, dice in hand and a backpack full of gaming essentials. If you need a hand painting it, then games retailer Games and Gear have 1,500 paint brushes with 500 available each day on a first come and first claimed basis. These are superb high quality brushes and are sure to make your miniatures stand out, and if you need a place to put your model (and indeed, all your games) try visiting the gaming furniture stand Geeknson; they’re giving away one of their customised gaming tables to one lucky visitor. The table is an ideal size for most big 6-player games and by using a special divider - 'Strake Board' - it can be divided in smaller gaming spaces.

There are loads of cool things to do at UK Games Expo so don’t miss out. Now in its tenth year, the event is so large that it has to be hosted in both Birmingham NEC and the nearby Birmingham Hilton. It will run from June 3rd to 5th, and members of the STARBURST team will be there to cover the entire thing. Details of the event can be found here.
