Event News

Babylon 5 star Patricia Tallman is the latest guest announced for Sci-Fi Scarborough 2016.

Known to many as Lyta Alexander, head of Psi Corps, in the classic show she has also appeared in numerous Star Trek series, including The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. Horror fans will recognise her from Army of Darkness and as Barbara in the remake of Night of the Living Dead.

Event Co-Organiser Steve Dickinson said of the announcement: “We had been thinking of getting Pat for a long time and, using her obvious Psi Corps powers, she knew that we were thinking that so she replied straight away and agreed to come over! Once again, it’s great news for the town as we are getting more and more recognised as an International destination for Convention legends

As well as being a respected and accomplished actor, Patricia spends time raising money for Penny Lane, a home for abused children, with over $250,000 donated through her efforts within the fan community over the past few years. She is also a former member of the Stunt Woman’s Association of Motion Pictures, doubling for the likes of Laura Dern and Geena Davis in Jurassic Park and The Long Kiss Goodnight, respectively.

Tickets for Sci-Fi Scarborough - which takes place on the weekend of April 9th/10th at the Scarborough  Spa - are available now from the venue Box Office. For more details, head over to the website.
