Barbara Crampton Heads Guest List for Film 4 FrightFest

With Film 4 FrightFest just around the corner, a whole host of special guests have been announced for the horror calendar’s biggest date.

Among the stars gracing the event, held at London’s Vue Cinema Bank Holiday Weekend, August 27th - 31st, are genre legend Barbara Crampton, who has an unprecedented four films screening over the weekend including the hotly-tipped We Are Still Here, Road Games, Sun Choke, and Tales of Halloween. Also in attendance will be Candyman director Bernard Rose, who will introduce his new Frankenstein reboot, and three of the big names behind anthology Tales of Halloween, namely Neil Marshall, Axelle Carolyn and Mike Mendez.

Steve Oram will host his directorial debut, Aaaaaaaah! alongside cast members Toyah Wilcox, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Noel Fielding, and Alice Lowe. Emmerdale’s Dominic Brunt returns with his new film Bait with stars Joanne Mitchell and Rula Lenska. Hawk the Slayer director Terry Marcel with appear with star Ray Charleson, and the planned sequel’s composer Rick Wakeman.

Hammer legend Caroline Munro will take to the stage with writer/director Brian Clemens’ sons Sam and George for the screening of Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter.

Independent films are catered for with filmmakers from all corners of the globe arriving to present their movies. These include British talent Liam Regan, who will be bringing along stars of his film Banjo, Laurence R. Harvey and Dan Palmer, Russell Freidenberg (Wind Walkers), Valentin Javier Diment (The Rotten Link), and 14-year-old French director Nathan Ambrosioni, who naturally will be removed from the cinema before the screening of his film Hostile!

Single film tickets are on sale from Saturday July 25th at noon, priced £13.25 and only available online.
