Event News

Today has seen the announcement of a London leg of the STAR WARS CELEBRATION, which will run concurrently with the California event. What’s that noise? Why, that’s the sound of UK fans rejoicing.

The official press release for this rather cool development reads:

Fans in the U.K who are unable to attend Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California are invited to enter a competition to win tickets to a live event at Empire Cinema in Leicester Square, London.

Globally there are local events taking place in 35 cinemas across 23 countries, including 6 IMAX locations.

All attendees of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens UK Fan Event will have the opportunity to win exclusive collectibles and other exciting prizes. Additionally fans are encouraged to dress as their favourite Star Wars characters.

One of the main draws of this massive event is a STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS panel hosted by J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy along with some mystery special guests.

The UK portion of the event will take place at Empire Cinema Leicester Square, WC2H 7NA on Thursday, April 16th at 6pm, whilst the US happenings begin at 10am PST on that date.
