The first part of the two-day CRAIG STEVENS STAR WARS COLLECTION auction has now come to an end. Eagle-eyed fans of a galaxy far, far away will have seen plenty of information on the auction over the last little while, and the biggest intrigue lay in how much a certain bounty hunter would raise. Well the results are in, and some of the prices reached are stunning.

First up, the main course, the big attraction, the one that we all wish we still had boxed and in immaculate condition: Boba Fett. To be specific and to give it the correct title, Lot 3414 was the PALITOY STAR WARS THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK BOBA FETT on 30B un-punched card back. The estimated price was given as between £10,000 and £15,000, but it finally sold to an online bidder for a hefty £18,000. It’s believed that this is the most expensive production STAR WARS action figure ever sold at auction.

Other notable items that brought in impressive coin are the PALITOY STAR WARS THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK BEN (OBI-WAN) KENOBI on 30B un-punched card back, the PALITOY STAR WARS DARTH VADER on 12B un-punched card, the PALITOY STAR WARS R2-D2 on 12B un-punched card back, and a PALITOY/GENERAL MILLS STAR WARS RETURN OF THE JEDI TRI-LOGO LUKE SKYWALKER on 70B un-punched card back.

At present, it’s looking like the auction itself could top the £100,000 barrier. Now interest switches to the final day of the event, which will take place on February 25th. For further details on the auction and the exact specifics, visit Vectis.co.uk.
