HOGWARTS EXPRESS Added to HARRY POTTER STUDIOS

Event News

There's good news for fans of both diminutive teenage wizards and trainspotting, with Warner Brothers announcing a rather large new exhibit for their Studio Tour.

The original Hogwarts Express is to be added as a new attraction to the already sizable collection of POTTER memorabilia at the Leavesden Studios based attraction from March.

The studios, where the eight films were shot, is home to a massive range of sets and props from the movies. Besides being one of the most popular visitor attractions in the UK, the tour is literally the only redeeming feature of Watford, where the studios are based.

Warners have been working on expanding the exhibition for some time, and the new exhibit features a complete recreation of King's Cross' Platform 9 3/4, where Hogwarts-bound students catch the Express to the world's most dangerous school. Whether the expansion will answer the question of how students who don't live near London travel to the school is not yet known.

The latest expansion comes after another revamp last year, which saw the addition of a new Death Eater exhibit. (For those not versed in HARRY POTTER, Death Eaters are basically Sith but with wands instead of lightsabers.)

Although impressive, the Hogwarts Express won't be the biggest attraction at the studios. The exhibit is already home to the full-size Great Hall, the massive scale model of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and Warwick Davis' ego.

The Hogwarts Express arrives on March 19th. More information is available on the official website wbstudiotour.co.uk
