Comic Book News

DC Comics have released a teaser image of the mysterious character who first appeared in FLASHPOINT (the multi-title 2011 arc that spawned the controversy-baiting rebooted continuity) and has subsequently been seen lingering in background panels of every first issue of The New 52.

Her name is Pandora apparently. And here's the newly released artwork depicting the enigmatic character...

Who is Pandora? DC are staying schtum for now, but it's clear that the company have had a long term plan for her from the start.

If she was indeed responsible for the new continuity, it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that she has the power to ultimately return the DCU back to the traditional timeline. Or possibly an amalgamation of the two (satiating new fans and old).

All will eventually be revealed, with DC promising that the character will be further explored in upcoming New 52 titles, kicking off in the pages of Justice League first.
