Rob Moran and Jasper Bark are teaming up to produce a rather unique graphic novel that brings together four stories from the Cthulhu Mythos, and are using crowd-funding to produce the book.

Beyond Lovecraft
is the tale of scientists desperately trying to save the world from the HP Lovecraft’s horrors. Instead, they uncover four adventures that shines new light on the mythos itself.

The stories include Occupy the Mountains of Madness, a satirical spin on the classic story and The Cover Out of Space, the tale of a comic book gone horribly wrong. The other stories are Out in Innsmouth, which will explore what it means to be gay in Lovecraft’s doomed town and The Thrall of Cthulhu, which is promises to tell the tale of a world where all stories are infected with Cthulhu’s taint.

The Indiegogo campaign has many different rewards, including a scale model of house from Innsmouth.

Writer Jasper Bark, says: “I think the main thing that makes our campaign stand out, is that it belongs to whoever gets involved. So many readers feel they have a personal stake in the Cthulhu mythos because, from the very beginning, Lovecraft shared his mythology with other authors as well as his readers. We want to continue this in our approach to the campaign. Every perk we’re offering, is designed to put contributors at the heart of this campaign, to give them a sense of ownership. You know when you pick up a comic and think: ‘This was made just for me!’? If you’re a Lovecraft fan, that’s how we want you to feel about ‘Beyond Lovecraft’. We’re putting it together especially for you.

The Beyond Lovecraft Indiegogo Campaign is already half-way funded after its first day. It can be found here.
