Zod

Fans of new digital businesses and so forth will be pleased to know that Terence Stamp (General Zod in Superman 2 and Chancellor Valorum in one of the Star Wars films that doesn’t exist) has co-founded a publishing house with Peter Mayle and Richard LaPlante (who got the thing off the ground in the first place).

Escargot Books is a mostly digital imprint, with audio and print editions of some of their books. As an added incentive to draw people towards their products, Stamp has written his third memoir, Rare Stamps, exclusively for them. Peter Mayle’s books will also be re-released for online distribution through Escargot, with other authors already slated to release books through the company.

We’ll be keeping our eyes on this one, but one thing’s for sure – with the might of General Zod behind them, they’re sure to do well!
