Want to get one over on me and support a good cause at the same time? Then you should invest in Sherlock’s Home, the book compiled from the 31 best submissions to Sherlockology’s “See Your Own Sherlock Holmes Story In Print” competition and published by MX Publishing.

The book has come about due to a need to save Undershaw, the house in which Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote Hound Of The Baskervilles and The Return Of Sherlock Holmes, from development. All royalties from the sale of the book go to the restoration of the house if it’s allowed to survive or documenting the history of the place if it gets developed.

The “getting one over on me” part comes from the fact that even though my story is in the book, I’ve not actually read it yet (because they can’t spare 31 copies). My own masterpiece aside, the book also features statements from Stephen Fry, Mark Gatiss, Gyles Brandreth (author of the “Oscar Wilde Murder Mysteries” series, which takes inspiration from Doyle’s work) and many more.

This is a book full of stories by Sherlock Holmes fans who love him and as such, promises to be well worth a read.

Sherlock’s Home – The Empty House is now available to buy on Amazon UK (although it’s temporarily out of stock there), Amazon US and The Book Depository.
