With The Walking Dead back on screens, and Halloween been and gone, Haynes - the publishers of the famous car manuals - has the perfect hand-held accompaniment for any impending apocalypse: the Zombie Survival Guide app.

So if you want to be able to spot a zombie, Users can choose one of three profiles - scientist, fighter, or forager - and learn to equip yourself with the tools to survive an attack. Through a series of chapters, you find out more about the living dead and test your knowledge with quizzes at the end of each of the chapters to collect rewards.

Andrew Golby, Global Digital Director at Haynes Publishing, said of the venture: “This new app is an exciting venture for Haynes and the result of a collaboration between Haynes and author Sean T Page. It also brings a new twist on our very rich heritage and reputation as the brand everyone trusts for practical information, ensuring that people are equipped with the essential low-down on how to survive the walking dead.

Based on the Haynes Zombie Survival Manual by Sean T Page, the app will be available to download free from the iOS App Store now. For more information, head over to http://www.zombiesurvivalapp.com and Facebook.
